The Anahata Project
The word anahata represents the eternal hum of the heart center. The vision of The Anahata Project is to bring people into a natural state of physical, emotional, and spiritual balance centered in the heart.
"It must not be just your mind or even your body that is doing the asana (yoga posture). You must be in it. You must do asana with your soul. How can you do asana with your soul? We can only do it with the organ of the body that is the closest to the soul -- the heart." -- B.K.S. Iyengar

Amy Colwell Bluhm, Ph.D., RYT, mom
I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from SaybrookGraduate School, an additional certificate in Socially Engaged Spirituality, and completed my training to become a Registered Yoga Teacher at Kanyakumari Ayurvedic Education Center in Milwaukee, WI. My teaching style is rooted in my past as a dancer, a deep desire to encourage others to trust and relish their bodies, and a devotion to the perennial wisdom of yogic philosophy.
In addition to teaching yoga, I am an active scholar in the history of depth psychology with dual emphases on the life and community of C.G. Jung and comparative historical and thematic analysis of Eastern iconography.
And, what really brings me joy and vibrancy is the gift of homeschooling my three shining-eyed, endlessly fascinating and curious children -- my greatest gurus.
